My sister gave birth to her first child and my parent’s first grandchild in Chicago, far from our hometown of Texas. Our whole family was not able to be there at the same time so I quickly created this media project using video and audio as a way to document the experience.

I put together a video story on the University of Missouri’s racial controversy of 2015 as a way to keep up with my editing skills. Using video from other publications, I edited the project and wrote the script within one day using Adobe Premire Pro.
UNT SPEAKS OUT
UNT Speaks Out is a multimedia project that was created as an opportunity to combine journalism, advocacy, and education in honor of sexual assault awareness month in 2015. The project was done to show that sexual assault can happen to anyone, even another UNT student. Advocacy of any issues lies within the stories of people who want to take a stand against their adversities.
